(Karachi) Gulberg police registered an FIR against a woman who allegedly misbehaved with a traffic cop and hurled threats at him in Lahore, media reported on Wednesday.

The police said the incident took place in Gulberg town where the woman, identified as 29-year-old Raeesa Masood, a resident of New Garden Town, got enraged when the traffic cop warned her not to park her car at an area where parking was not allowed and asked her to remove the vehicle which was causing traffic congestion.

At this, the lady lost her temper and started insulting the cop and threatened him of dire consequences. She also tried to snatch the warden’s wireless set. Later, the police registered the case against the woman over her misbehaviour on the traffic cop’s complaint.

The police has taken the woman's car into custody and is conducting raids to arrest the accused.

Earlier in May, a case was registered against a woman for abusing and threatening to drive over policemen with her car after she wasn’t allowed to use the Hazara Expressway.

The woman hurled abuses at the cops who were asking her to turn her car around because the expressway was blocked for construction. The woman told them that she’s wife of a colonel and that she’ll get them fired for not removing the obstacles from the road.
