Bilawal fears closure of medical universities

Updated 08 Jul, 2020

LAHORE: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari feared closure of many medical universities because of a consistent assault of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government on the Higher Education Commission funding. This would have dire consequences for medical universities battling against COVID-19 on the frontline, he added. In a twitter message on Tuesday, he said, the PTI had cut the HEC funds in the last year's budget and it has refused to increase the same in the present budget.
