English Premier League giants Manchester United and Manchester City will reportedly battle for the signing of two Serie A star centre-backs in the summer transfer window.

The after mentioned clubs have struggled defensively this season resulting in slipping away from the championship race.

As per the Independent, both clubs will compete for the signing of Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly and Inter Milan’s Milan Skriniar in the summer transfer window in order to bolster their respective defensive unit for the next campaign.

The Senegal international is termed as one of the best at the position while, the latter is one of the finest in Italy’s top division and has a clear edge due to his young age.

It is reported that Napoli are open up to sell their prize asset if a sizeable offer arrive, however, Inter are reportedly not ready yet to part ways with Skriniar.

Koulibaly, who has been with Napoli since the summer of 2014, has a contract with his current club till the summer of 2023. On the other hand, Skriniar, who joined Inter in the summer of 2017, still has three more years left on his current deal with the club.
