WHO recognizes positive curtailment of COVID-19 in Pakistan

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday asked Director-General of the World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom to develop travel guidelines to be adopted globally to ensure that low income countries are not discriminated against global travel.

In a tweet, Planning Minister Asad Umar said that the PM had a telephonic conversation with the WHO director. He said Ghebreyesus lauded Pakistani government for controlling the spread of the novel virus.

"PM asked WHO to develop travel guidelines to be adopted by all countries to ensure that low income countries are not discriminated against in global travel," he tweeted.

So far, Pakistan has recorded 231,818 coronavirus cases and 4,762 days.
