Amir, Zaman claim ODI performance of the year awards
Pakistan pace spearhead Muhammad Amir and opening batsman Fakhar Zaman have grabbed ESPNcricinfo ODI bowling performance of the year and batting performance of the year award, respectively. Earlier, Shahid Afridi in 2009 and 2013 while Umar Gul in 2010 had won it previously. No nation has won more awards. Meanwhile, Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed was also in contention for the Captain of the Year award but the England Women captain, Heather Knight, who led her side to the World Cup title won the award.
