PML-N govt completed record social welfare, human development projects

SIALKOT: Foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif on Friday said the PML-N government had completed a record social welfare and human development oriented projects across Pakistan in last four years under the dynamic leadership of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.

Addressing the workers convention here, the Foreign Minister said the PML-N government was fulfilling its all promises made with the public including raising their living standard besides overcoming the energy crisis.

He said that loyal workers were the precious asset of the PML-N and their rights were being protected.

He said that 1800 kilometres long motorways were completed or briskly under construction across the country.

Khawaja Muhammad Asif said that industrial sector had been made totally free from electricity loadshedding, saying there was zero loadshedding of power in industrial sector. "We have kept the industrial wheel moving ahead despite removing all hurdles from this way," he added. He said that now only those areas were facing power outages where the electricity pilferage was on.

He said the PML-N government added around 10,800 MW electricity to national grid.

The Foreign Minister said the PML-N would again become in power after winning the general elections 2018 with the power of the masses as well due to its marvellous performance in every sphere of life besides fulfilling its all promises made to the masses.

Khawaja Muhammad Asif vowed to continue the journey of socio-economic and human development, and masses' prosperity in the country despite all the hurdles being created by the political opponents to weaken the national economy.

He said the government was successfully strengthening the national institutions.

He said that the people had become mature politically and already rejected the negative politics by some political elements, which were still creating hurdles in the smooth way of national development and prosperity, as such political elements were implementing the agenda of anarchy and promoting the political instability in the country.

He strongly criticized the political opponents, saying that if there was any confusion, then it should be cleared from Lodhran Election after PML-N victory.

Khawaja Muhammad Asif said that the armed forces of Pakistan had broken the backbone of terrorism in the country, saying that the country would continue to play its frontline pivotal role for weeding out terrorism, extremism and militancy.

He said that Pakistan was closely monitoring the situation along its eastern and western borders, adding, "Our defence is in strong hands and we have capability to give a strong response to enemies."

The Foreign Minister said that India did more than 2000 violations of the ceasefire along the Line of Control and Working Boundary.
