Pakistan fast bowler Usman Khan Shinwari's impressive run in international cricket hit an unwanted break after the pacer suffered a back injury but he back in the game now.

Fortunately, Shinwari has recovered well enough and is back to bowling, informed Pakistan cricket bowling coach Azhar Mahmood. According to the coach, Shinwari will be seen in action at the upcoming third edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL).

“I am glad to say that Shinwari has already started to bowl again based upon what he has told me and the videos that he has sent to me already. Hopefully he will be fit to play in the PSL which starts on February 22,” said Mahmood, quoted PakPassion.

Earlier, Shinwari was diagnosed with a career-halting stress fracture of the back. Initial prognosis had the 23-year-old out of action for at least six months due to a fracture in the lumbar spine and the injury kept the left-armer out of the New Zealand tour.

The former all-rounder informed that Junaid Khan too has started bowling and will retain his fitness as well. “As far as Khan is concerned, he is pain-free now and has started to bowl again and hopefully his fitness will also improve very soon,” added Mahmood added.
