As NA-154 by-elections in Lodhran started on Monday morning, the Election Commission of Pakistan has slapped a fine on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) candidate Ali Tareen, son of Jahangir Tareen and Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz's (PML-N) candidate Muhammad Iqbal Shah.

Although 10 candidates are in the running for the NA-154 by-elections in Lodhran, tough contest is expected among Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) candidate Mirza Muhammad Ali Baig, PTI and PML-N's candidates. All will be contesting for the seat that fell vacant after Supreme Court disqualified PTI’s Jahangir Khan Tareen last year in December.
