Eight nominations filed for federal capital Senate seats: ECP
ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Saturday said eight candidates had filed their nomination papers with the returning officer for federal capital’s Senate seats.
According to ECP, it was the last date for filing of nomination papers from federal capital for Senate elections.
Five candidates have filed their nomination papers for General Seat from federal capital included Muhammad Asad Ali Khan Junejo from PML-N Fareed Hussain from PML-N, Chaudhary Atif Fazal from PML-N, Raja Imran Ashraf from PPP and Kanwal Shauzab from PTI.
Similarly, three candidates have filed their nomination papers for Technocrat Seat from federal capital included Mushahid Hussain Sayed from PML-N, Raja Shakil Abbasi from PPP and Dr Tahir Mahmood from PML-N.
Four candidates have filed their nomination papers from FATA included Hidayat Ullah, Mirza Muhammad, Shamim Afridi and Sajid Tori.
The last date for filing of nomination papers from FATA is February 12.
