Zubair terms KLF fresh breeze for Karachiites
KARACHI: Governor Sindh Muhammad Zubair has described Karachi Literature Festival (KLF) as fresh breeze for the people of Karachi, and said KLF's organisers deserve appreciation for conducting the event for the consecutive nine year.
This he said while addressing the launching ceremony of Indian writer Shila's book titled Mr. and Mrs. Jinnah here at KLF festival, said a statement.
The Governor said that healthy activities are under way in the city because of the sincere efforts of the government.
The metropolis is being made the centre of various activities like social, cultural, political, literary, sports and others, he added.
Muhammad Zubair said that KLF is providing a platform, where the authors and writers from various countries came together.
The Governor lauded the author for the book and said she preserved the history in her book for the new generations.
He said that the book will prove fruitful specially for the students of history.
Later talking to the media persons, the Governor said that metropolis' law in order situation has been improved by the cooperation of law enforcement agencies and for the same the cooperation of masses is also appreciable.
He said Karachiites are enjoying their routine life without any fear, it proves that measures taken by the government for the restoration of law in order of the city were effective.
