ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) Friday warned the respondents of initiating contempt proceedings, if they failed to submit Senator Raja Zafarul Haq led committee's report and details of the agreement between the parties in Faizabad sit-in case.

Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui while hearing the case expressed annoyance over the government and remarked:  "We will not allow the matter to be brushed under the carpet.”

Meanwhile, Deputy Attorney General Arshad Kiyani apprised the court that the signature of one member of the committee was not in the report, therefore it could not be submitted.

The head of the Intelligence Bureau was also present in court but failed to submit the required audio recording after which he was summoned again on February 12. Islamabad chief commissioner and inspector general of police were also present during the hearing.

The court directed Secretary Defence to submit the report regarding agreement between the parties at the next hearing and adjourned further hearing till then.
