Muttahida Qaumi Movement – Pakistan (MQM-P) factions failed to reach an agreement over the candidates names, as party chief Dr Farooq Sattar and Rabita Committee nominated on Thursday separate candidates for Senate elections.

Sattar has nominated Kamran Tessori as the first candidate for the Senate seat, over which the entire agreement began Monday night. While addressing a press conference on Thursday, Sattar announced that other than Tessori, candidates for Senate nominations include Shahid Pasha Qamar Mansoor, Ahmed Chinoy, Farhan Chishti, Justice Hasan Feroze, Mangla Sharma and Sanjay Perwani.

Meanwhile, Rabita Committee members have finalized candidates including Nasreen Jalil, Aminul Haq, Dr Farogh Nasim, Kishwar Zehra and Amir Chishti.

Both the parties maintained that after reaching a breakthrough on the current issue, a number of nominated candidates will be withdrawn.
