ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, Engineer Baleegh-Ur-Rehman on Wednesday applauded the efforts of Accountability Lab stating, Integrity Idol is a citizen-run movement to identify and celebrate upstanding government officials.

"Integrity Idol is one of its kind contest which will help bring transparency and integrity to the public sector and ensure good governance across our country." Baleegh-ur-Rehman said as chief guest while addressing an “Integrity Award Ceremony” in the honor of civil servants across the country organized by Accountability Lab here.

The minister congratulated all five nominees and this year’s winner and said, “these Integrity Idols are role-models for all of us.

Former MD Pakistan Bailtul Mal Zamurrud Khan said the country could only progress if politicians become role model.

He further said serious efforts were needed to stop corruption and malpractices at national level and everyone need to take part in this.

He said, “I encourage everyone in Pakistan to join us in this effort, those who uphold the Pakistani values of honesty, integrity and accountability.”

In front of parliamentarians from different political parties, diplomats, government officials, media and citizens, Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Saqib Zafar was named Pakistan's 2nd Integrity Idol winner.
