Court dismisses bail petition of Superintendent Director Development Quetta

QUETTA: Balochistan High Court here on Thursday dismissed a petition filed for the bail of Superintendent Director Development Quetta a sub office of Commissioner Quetta, Talat Ishaq who was arrested by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for possession of illegal assets.

The divisional bench comprising of Balochistan High Court Justice Jamal Mandokhail and Justice Kamran Mandokhail heard the case.

Superintendent Talat Ishaq accused of making valuable assets including Rupees 200 million bungalows, vehicles and plots beyond sources than his income, by looting public exchequer.

During investigation NAB recovered pure gold and jewelry worth Rs 100 million and foreign exchange of millions of rupees from him. Apart from this, NAB has also seized his bank account containing Rs. 3 billion and 5 lac.

NAB Balochistan Investigation Team arrested the accused criminal Talat from Lahore and Accountability court later on sent him jail for judicial remand.

Later, the accused confessed the crime and requested for plea bargain, which was rejected by Director General NAB Balochistan, Irfan Naeem Magsi.
