Nawaz Sharif arrives in Karachi first time after disqualification

For the first time after his disqualification, deposed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif landed on Thursday in Karachi for his two-day trip to the city.

Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz members were present at Jinnah International Airport to welcome him. This will be Sharif's first visit to Karachi after he was disqualified last year in July in the Panama Paper case verdict by the Supreme Court.

During his visit Sharif will visit the construction site of Green Line Bus project. Sharif will also address party members, lawyers, traders and civil society members during his visit.

The deposed prime minister will also meet a delegation of Pakistan Bengali Association on Friday evening. He will also attend a seminar regarding the future of democracy in Pakistan on Friday.

Meanwhile, Sharif is expected to appear on Friday before an accountability court in Islamabad for hearing of corruption cases against him.
