Liquid Foreign Reserves Position

KARACHI: The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at $19,771.5 million on January 12, said a statement issued by State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) here on Thursday.

Break-up of the foreign reserves position is as under:

i)  Foreign reserves held by the SBP: $ 13,699.0 million

ii) Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks:$6,072.5 million

iii) Total liquid foreign reserves: $19,771.5 million.

During the week ending January 12, the SBP's reserves decreased by $284 million to $13,699 million, due to external debt servicing and other official payments.
