Pak, Japan ties vital for mutual interest
KARACHI: The Governor of Sindh Muhammad Zubair has said that investors from various countries are coming up with investment in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
He was talking to a delegation led by senior vice-president of Mitsubishi, Kimidie Ando, at the Governor House here on Thursday.
Zubair was of the view that Pakistan considers Japanese participation towards investment in CPEC as significant.
He further stated that CPEC's completion would help initiate a new era of economic prosperity in Pakistan.
Governor said that Karachi would become an important centre of the international trade.
He also spoke of the significance of the Pakistan-Japan ties for the bilateral relationship between the two countries.
At the meeting a host of issues came up for discussion including Japanese investment in various sectors in the province of Sindh.
The Governor lauded Japanese investment is contributing towards poverty alleviation and generation of employment opportunities.
He pointed out that after improvement of law and order, the investment climate in Karachi has become very conducive.
Kinihide Ando said that Japanese investment in various sectors in Sindh would help further strengthen the bilateral trade ties.
