Pakistan leg spinner Shadab Khan has expressed disappointment over Pakistan's second consecutive loss at the hands of New Zealand at Nelson on Tuesday.

“We got a chance but we failed to avail it, as New Zealand played well. We also committed a few mistakes in the middle as well,” said Shadab, while talking to media after the second One Day International.

Earlier, Shadab alongside teammate Hasan Ali provided a late fight back by Pakistan, as the duo hit consecutive fifties to drive Pakistan to 246 at the loss of nine wickets.

Speaking about his inning with the bat, Shadab said that he intended to complete the overs along with adding runs on the scoreboard for Pakistan. “I bat regularly in the nets, maybe that’s the reason I performed well today,” Shadab added.

With the series 2-0, the third series deciding ODI between New Zealand and Pakistan will be played at the Oval on January 12.
