No trust motion against Baluchistan CM an attempt to derail democratic setup: ANP
NOWSHERA: Central Secretary General of ANP Mian Iftikhar Hussain has said that no trust motion against Baluchistan Chief Minister was an attempt to derail the democratic setup in the country.
The ANP would not support any such move to this effect as we believe in democracy. He was addressing a condolence seminar on the eve of sixth death anniversary of Late Qazi Hussain Ahmed here Friday.
After Baluchistan, similar move would be made in KP under a pre-planned conspiracy to halt the election process to the Nassembly Assembly and Senate.
All the three provincial governments are being abolished, he feared. The democratic forces would have to rise to the occasion to stop such move.
All the governments in the country should complete their mandated tenures, if the opponents can wait for five years why not for five months more.
General elections and Senate elections should be held on time, he said adding the anti democratic forces have started a dangerous game in the country. Pakistan is passing through a critical period of its history.
Pakistan and Afghanistan are interlinked with each other and as such there peace as well. Pakistan should formulate its policies in accordance with their interest.
He castigated the US President for his foolish tweet against Pakistan.
The ANP leader said that the late JI Ameer was a true democrat who worked in real sense for the supremacy of the democracy and parliament.
He fought till last breath for the promotion of democracy in the country.
Today democracy was flourishing in the country due to sacrifices of Qazi Sahib.
He was not the name of a personality but a movement (Tehrik), adding personalities like Qazi Sahib born seldom in the history.
