Sarfraz Ahmed hails Hasan Ali’s rapid rise to success
Pakistan cricket captain Sarfraz Ahmed has showered praise on fast bowler Hasan Ali for his rapid strides in international cricket, ahead of Pakistan encounter with New Zealand. Addressing a press conference in Wellington on Friday, Sarfraz was asked about Hasan's main strengths, to which he said, “I think his main strength is bowling faster. The line and length is very good, as well as he is very fit and is improving day by day.” The skipper further said that it is also the advices provided by head coach Mickey Arthur that has helped Hasan a lot, transforming him into the number one One Day International (ODI) bowler. “He is listening to his coach [and] that’s the reason he is improving rapidly,” Sarfraz said. The captain added that the bowling attack is the main strength of Pakistan. The skipper said he is hopeful that the bowling attack would be able to ‘restrict’ the New Zealand batting. “If you see our bowling line up since Champions Trophy, our bowling has been the main strength, so we will hopefully restrict the New Zealand batting side as well.” Pakistan will play five-match ODI series followed by a three-match T20I series against New Zealand, commencing from January 6.
