Machinery group imports decrease by 2.20pc

ISLAMABAD: Machinery group imports into the country decreased by 2.20 per cent during the first five months of current fiscal year (July-November) as compared to the same period of last year.

According to the data provided by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), Machinery group worth $4,534,051 were imported during the first five months of current year as compared to $4,636,211 of last year.

Power Generating machinery worth $1,096,434 were imported during the first five months of current year as compared to $1,455,062 of last year.

Power Generating machinery imports into the country decreased by 24.65 per cent during the first five months of current fiscal year as compared to the same period of last year.

Office machine Incl.data worth $186,763 were imported during the first five months of current year as compared to $218,217 of last year.

Office machine Incl.data imports into the country decrease by 14.41 per cent during the first quarter of current fiscal year as compared to the same period of last year.
