NAB Chairman directs investigation against Balochistan provincial minister Obaidullah Jan
ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (Retd) Javeed Iqbal Thursday directed Director General Balochistan NAB to start investigation against Balochistan’s Provincial Minister for Forest Obaidullah Jan Babat for having assets beyond his sources.
The minister has properties of around Rs130 million in Dubai and Karachi, two Bungalows in Multan, one bungalow in Quetta and petrol pump in DG Khan worth Rs75 million.
NAB chairman also directed investigation against former IG Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali, Sohail Jamali and others for occupying forest department land of 2,500 acre.
He also directed investigation of the accused involvement in agricultural land cultivation in Sindh’s district Sajwal with the assistance of Revenue department illegally.
The investigation had also been ordered against Health Secretary Sindh Province Dr Fazlullah Balicho for misusing his powers, transformer and promotion of his favourite by setting aside rules and regulations. The secretary was also involved in awarding contracts of purchasing substandard medicines.
Javeed Iqbal also directed DG NAB Balochistan to start investigation against Balochistan Additional IG Police Dr Mujeeb ur Rehman for having assets beyond his income and embezzlement in funds.
