Fire breaks out in warehouses

A mysterious fire that broke out in a godown of electronic appliances in the jurisdiction of Saddar Town on early Friday, left millions of rupees commodities into ashes. "We were informed by a caller, who might be a watchman in the wee hours of Friday morning that fire broke out in a godown located in the Metro Supari wala building where several warehouses are located," officials in fire brigade said.
Reacting on this information, some four fire-tenders were immediately rushed to the spot and engaged in extinguishing the fire, they said. They said three flats and four warehouses were completely gutted in fire before they reached the scene; therefore they asked for more tenders for backup. Later 23 fire tenders including two snorkels were dispatched to the incident place, they maintained.
They said the fire was brought in control within seven hours and nobody was reported hurt in this incident. They said the goods of four warehouses and three flats worth millions of rupees were burnt to ashes and added that the cause of fire was still not ascertained.
