ADB shows interest in sewerage, water supply, solid waste projects
SARGODHA: The Asian development bank (ADB) has showed interest in various projects of the district administration including sewerage, water supply and solid waste from the city for which the provincial government had already announced mega project worth Rs 1.2 billion.
Representatives of ADB called on Deputy Commissioner Liaqat Ali Chatha in this regard and discussed various proposals regarding such schemes management.
The DC briefed the ADB representatives about such projects, adding that a comprehensive feasibility report was being formulated keeping in view the population of the city and urban areas and assured of their full cooperation regarding solution of people's problems.
The DC disclosed that the district administration had already provided 160 acres of land outside the city for solid waste dumping which would be beneficial for cleanliness of the city.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) would soon be signed between the district administration and ADB in this regard.
