PTV terminates several employees on fake degrees

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV) has terminated services of several employees for possession of fake educational degrees on the directives of Federal Secretary of Information and Managing Director (MD) Pakistan Television Sardar Ahmed Nawaz Sukhera.

The sacked PTV employees were performing their duties in different sections of the institution including finance, information technology and administration, a press release Wednesday said.

The action has been taken against these persons after start of practical measures against the corruption, malpractices and cheating in the corporation.

The degrees of the said employees proved fake during verification process by the relevant educational boards.

The process of the verification of educational degrees is continued as the PTV MD has expressed the determination to ensure the merit policy in the corporation.

He has declared that elimination of corruption from the PTV is his top priority and further steps would be taken for bringing stability in the institution.
