After BBL, Shadab shows off all round skills in New Zealand
Pakistan leg spinner is quickly making his name as a bowling all rounder, as his skills with both bat and the ball were on display against the New Zealand XI in a warm-up match at Nelson, on Wednesday. Shadab made the bat talk first, after a sensible inning of 24 of 28 deliveries, batting with the tail after a collapse of the middle order, taking Pakistan to a healthy score of 341 at the loss of nine wickets. In the second part of the match, Shadab's form with the ball continued, as he picked up four wickets for 52 in his 10-overs. The NZ XI middle order was the first to fell to Shadab as Bharat Popli and skipper FJ Colson lost their wicket on 16 and 12, respectively. Shadab Khan then wrapped up the inning as he claimed the wicket of MB McEwan, who was looking dangerous on 28, and MD Rae on six, as he handed Pakistan a victory in the warm-up game. The five-match ODI series will begin from January 6, followed by three T20 internationals.
