Opening batsman Martin Guptill has joined the Black Caps for the first two One-Day Internationals (ODIs) against Pakistan, as New Zealand announced a 13-man squad on Monday.

Guptill will be returning to the side after recovering from the hamstring injury and will replace George Worker in the side.

"Martin is a proven world-class player, so we're naturally thrilled to have him back in the mix. He and Colin [Munro] have been strong for us at the top of the order," said Gavin Larsen, the national selector, quoted Cricbuzz.

The Kiwis under the leadership of Kane Williamson, will take on Pakistan in 5-ODI and 3-T20I contest schedule to commence from January 6 to January 28.
