Karachiites wish Happy and peaceful 2018 for Pakistan

The citizens thronged to rooftops of buildings to witness the beautiful and eye-catching view of last sunset of the day. Special prays were offered in mosques for the prosperity of the country.

Thousands of peoples march towards seaside and other recreational places to celebrate new year night with zest and fervour for the annual New Year's celebrations.

The government has ensured strict security arrangements with heavy deployment of police, and rangers. Sindh government official said that around three thousand policemen deputed at roads leading to sea view to avoid any untoward incident.

The jubilant youth took to roads and streets on bikes and vehicles with chanting slogans “Happy New Year’s”.

Commissioner Karachi, Ejaz Ahmed Khan, has appealed to people to mark new year eve in a peaceful and decent manner.

In a statement on Sunday he said that there is no restriction on gatherings and function at the Seaside new year eve.

However, aerial firing as well as one wheeling of motorbikes is prohibited and legal action would be taken against those found involved in such activities.
