Lambasting India for criticising Pakistan despite allowing Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav to meet his family, Inter Services Public Relations Chief Major General Asif Ghafoor said on Thursday that the meeting between Jadhav and his family was a gesture of goodwill and humanity from Pakistan.

Addressing a press conference, DG ISPR said that India will never appreciate Pakistan's effort even though other countries, especially Western, have appreciated it.

DG ISPR further said that ceasefire violations by India on the Line of Control increased in 2017. Speaking about Indian army's recent claim about Indian army killing Pakistani soldiers he said, "You cannot lure us into such unprofessional undertakings."

Pakistan will not allow any country to fight Afghan war on its soil

While answering a question regarding deposed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz's continuous tirade against the armed forces, DG ISPR said that Pakistan armed forces are aware of all the threats and challenges they are facing and that they will not be distracted. He said if people believed that there is conspiracy, then they should provide evidence to them.

DG ISPR said that Pakistan, in order to control the cross border movement, has deployed personnel along its border with Afghanistan and have also started constructing post approximately every 1.5-2 kilometers. He said it was time United States and Afghanistan do more rather than asking Pakistan.

''United States needs to check anti-Pakistan Indian role not only from inside Afghanistan but along the line of control and working boundary,'' he added.
