"Terrorists are attacking our citizens whenever they want, our educational institutions are not safe even today, our Prime Minister says that we have defeated terrorism and next day a church is attacked," Bilawal said while addressing a huge crowd of party activists and supporters in Garhi Khuda Bux on the eve of the 10th martyrdom anniversary of former prime minister Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto in Garhi Khuda Bux.
Bilawal paid rich tribute to his mother and said: "Those who dragged you (Benazir) to courts are now themselves crying outside the courts. He said those, who used to call others as thieves, had themselves been caught.
"Those whose hands were filled with blood are now talking of justice." He said that the man (without taking the name of Nawaz Sharif) had been caught who was doing politics in the name of corruption. He said that the politics after you (Benazir) had gone in the hands of hypocrites.
Religious contractors are once again raising their heads, he added. Bilawal complained that they had not yet received justice independence of which was struggled by Shaheed Mohtarma from Karachi to Islamabad but we will continue to fight for its (judiciary) independence. Bilawal said that 'Shaheed Mohtarma is being remembered by the well wishers and protectors of the country'.
He undertook to fulfill the dreams of his grandfather and mother as saying that he would relieve the poverty-stricken people of hunger, end unemployment, make the country stable and prosperous, He said: "We will struggle to establish supremacy of parliament and strengthen democracy.
We have not forgotten your vision but we are continuously fighting for the betterment of the masses. Rulers are merely spectators and how can they fight against terrorists." The PPP chief said: We know why you were punished.
You were punished for showing peaceful face of Islam to the world, fighting against dictatorship, hoisting national flag in Swat, defending democracy, challenging terrorists, supporting supremacy of constitution, serving labour, farmers and poor people, giving equal rights to women and minorities."
He said the Muslims of Bosnia were still remembering you and people of Kashmir had not forgotten you as well. He said you are a great leader which is why world remembers you even today.
Bilawal also repeated the achievements of his party's 10-year rule in Sindh. He said in Sindh, wind and solar energy projects had been established and water was being saved by constructing small dams.
Bilawal said that small provinces had been separated from the Center and the country was under severe loan burden, adding the economy of the country had been destroyed. He said there was nobody to look after the growers and farmers as they were burning their crops but nobody was ready to help them.
He said farmers, laborers and growers were being economically murdered. Strict security arrangements were made on the occasion. Former prime minister Yousif Raza Gillani, Aitzaz Ahsan, Sindh Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, and Nisar Khuhro also addressed the gathering.
Both daughters of Benazir Bhutto - Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari and Aseefa Bhutto Zardari - kept on wiping off tears from their faces whenever Bilawal talked about Shaheed Mohtarma.
