ISLAMABAD: Senator Lt Gen (R) Abdul Qayyum Tuesday said Pakistan, Chine and Afghanistan's foreign ministers conference in China was a great development to establish peace in the region especially in Afghanistan.

Talking to PTV, he said Afghanistan was not a independent country in this time where external powers had occupied it and Afghan government was not real representative of there people.

He said more than 43 per cent areas were not in control of Afghanistan government, adding Unite States and its allies forces had failed to establish peace there but they were blaming to Pakistan for their failure.

The senator said establishing peace in Afghanistan was not agenda of US but they wanted to control its resources and monitor to whole region especially to isolate Iran containing to China and Pakistan's nuclear weapons.

He said a peaceful Afghanistan was in favour of Pakistan, adding Pakistan was spending huge amount for fencing to secure its boarder with Afghanistan.

He said terrorism was a menace and we should all together stand against it and work for completely eradication of terrorism from the region.
