Shadab sparkles at BBL, grabs Player of the Match award
Pakistan teen sensation Shadab Khan has once again impressed everyone with his spin, despite a one-sided bowling effort at the Big Bash League (BBL) on Saturday.
Representing the Brisbane Heat, Khan picked up two wickets early on as he cleaned up the Melbourne Renegades opening pair skipper Aaron Finch and Marcus Harris for 8 and 9, respectively.
Khan finished with impressive figures of two for 17 in his 4-overs spell. However, the rest of the Heat bowling line looked toothless against the Renegades, as Finch’s men wrapped up the inning, chasing down the target of 133 runs with 8 balls to spare, and winning by 7 wickets.
However, Khan's hard work didn’t go down in vain, as he was awarded the Player of the Match award.
