Pak team to train for World Cup from Dec 24

ISLAMABAD: The final training camp of Pakistan team in preparations for the Fifth Edition of the Cricket World Cup of the Blind will be held from January 24 in Lahore.

The Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) will be hosting the World Cup from January 7 in Pakistan and the UAE.

Talking to APP, PBCC, Chairman, Syed Sultan Shah said as many as 18 shortlisted players will be participating in the camp.

"The arrival of foreign teams here will begin from January 4, 2018. India, Nepal and Bangladesh have already announced their teams for the World Cup,” he said.

He said the Chief Minister of Punjab Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has also directed Punjab Sports Department to grant Rs 20 Million to PBCC for the World Cup.

"The federal government had also granted Rs 20 Million to PBCC for the hosting of the World Cup," he said.
