The UAE General Directorate of Residency and Foreigner Affairs (GDRFA) has rejected reports that the UAE has temporarily suspended issuance of UAE visa for Pakistanis.

"Visitors from Pakistan are welcome to enter Dubai after obtaining a visa," stated the GDRFA, quoted Khaleej Times. "The situation is normal," the official said.

Earlier, reports by local media went viral, saying that the UAE's GDRFA has issued a notification suspending issuance of UAE visas for Pakistanis.

"The ministry and immigration of UAE has temporarily suspended issuance of UAE visa for Pakistanis. Those who have visa already can travel," the fake notice said.

The UAE is home to a million Pakistani expats and people from across the world fly to Dubai to witness the famous New Year’s celebrations every year.
