Punjab plans week long Quaid-e-Azam Day celebrations
MULTAN: The Punjab government has planned to arrange week-long celebrations to mark the Quaid-e-Azam Day falling on December 25 in a befitting manner.
In a letter, the government ordered all commissioners, Deputy Commissioners and other officials concerned to devise week-long celebrations with effect from December 18 including a series of seminars, symposium, debates, declamations, thematic dramas, tableaus, dissertations and skits etc in educational institutions.
All commissioners and DCs have been asked to notify focal committees at divisional and district levels which would arrange the proposed activities.
An exhibition may also be arranged by the archives department at Lahore showcasing rare documents, historical pictures, books and Quaid-e-Azam letters, says the letter.
The government has instructed all RPOs, and DPOs to ensure security steps for all the activities which would be carried out in this connection, adds the letter.
