Yasir Shah to replace Shadab Khan
Pakistan’s leg spinner Shadab Khan will be replaced by fellow countrymen Yasir Shah in the later part of the Big Bash League (BBL). Khan will represent the Brisbane Heat, and would play the first three games before being replaced by Pakistan Test spinner Yasir Shah later in the tournament. “Last year I saw the Big Bash on the TV and now I’m playing,” Shadab said, quoted Courier Mail. Despite a short stint in the tournament, Shadab eyes to emerge as one of the best bowlers. “I’ll play the first three games and I want to be the best bowler in those games. I’ve seen on TV that Australia doesn’t spin too much so I’ll do my best to bowl variations to contain runs and take wickets,” said Shadab. “I’m very excited about Shadab,” said Brendon McCullum, the skipper of Brisbane Heat. The skipper praised the youngster for his ability with both bat and ball. “He is a multi-skilled cricketer. He is dynamic in the field and has been brilliant with the bat in hand,” stated McCullum. Shadab will make his BBL debut on Wednesday at the tournament opener against the Melbourne Stars.
