SC gave judgement on Friday in favor of PTI chairman Imran Khan in disqualification petition filed against him. The apex court, however, disqualified Tareen.
In a petition filed by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Hanif Abbasi, Khan and Tareen were accused of running a foreign-aided party, owning offshore companies, and for not disclosing their assets to the Election Commission of Pakistan and for violations of the lncome Tax Ordinance, 1979, and Peoples Act, 1974.
The three-judge bench, headed by Justice Saqib Nisar, included Justice Faisal Arab and Justice Umar Ata Bandial.
