Fog has once again engulfed Punjab like every year, resulting in closure of several routes on the Motorway due to low visibility on Friday morning.

According to local media reports, the Motorway M2 route leading from Kot Momin to Lahore and Faisalabad, M3 route Pindi Bhattian to Faisalabad and M4 route from Faisalabad to Gojra have been closed. The drivers have been cautioned by authorities to reduce speed and use fog lights on the highway to prevent any accidents.

The mercury is decreasing across the country as weather is getting cooler since last week, with Met Office reporting cold weather in Quetta and other northern parts of the country. Meanwhile, dense foggy conditions are likely to prevail in plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during night and morning hours. Meanwhile, cool winds continue to prevail in Karachi.
