HONG KONG: Hong Kong stocks tumbled more than one percent in the morning session on Friday, in line with losses on Wall Street fuelled by worries US lawmakers could fail to pass market-friendly tax-cut measures.

The Hang Seng Index fell 1.14 percent, or 332.62 points, to 28,833.76 by the break.
