KARACHI: Chairman, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Imran Khan on Thursday assured the business community to provide the business friendly environment if his party comes into power.

Speaking at a meeting with members of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, here at the Federation House, Imran Khan said the private sector had a great potential to bring economic prosperity in the country, only they need better economic policies and facilitation from the government.

He underlined the need for reforms in Federal Board of Revenue, Securities Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and other government organizations influencing the economic growth in the country.

He advocated that more people should be brought under tax net, instead of increasing tax burden on the existing taxpayers.

PTI Chief recounted his government's achievements in Khyber Pakhtunkwa over last four years.

He was critical that the police in Sindh was politicized, which had damaged this important force and the people especially in Karachi felt insecure.

He regretted that Sindh Inspector General in his report, mentioned that around 17,000 police officials were involved in different crimes and corruption.

Imran Khan claimed that KPK government had carried large scale police reforms and the Police Act was also passed. Now, he added, the police was very much different from that of the past.

FPCCI President Zubair F. Tufail and other senior business leaders apprised PTI Chairman of the issues facing trade and industry in the country.
