This amount would be spent for construction of roads, universities, medical and engineering colleges and hospitals to facilitate the people of FATA, he said while talking to a news channel.
The Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), government after coming into power in 2013 elections had taken the initiative for reforms in FATA, he said.
Expressing dismay over lack of interest of the political parties, he said, Pakistan Peoples Party could not make the efforts regarding reforms in FATA while running the government in the past.
The step for merger of FATA with Khyber Pakhtunkhawa would also be taken for the benefit of the people, he said.
To a question, he said that FATA was rich in mineral and natural resources which could be utilized for speedy uplift of the area.
To another question, he said there was a need to remove the black laws in FATA so that the people could enjoy the rights without facing any difficulty.
