AJK PM appreciates police for maintaining law and order

He was addressing a police reformation meeting held here on Friday. Senior Minister Chaudhry Tariq Farooq, AJK Chief Secretary Dr.Ejaz Munir, Inspector General Police Shoaib Dastgir, Senior Member Board of revenue Fayaz Ali Abbassi, Secretary Finance Fareed Tarar and DIG's also attended the meeting.

The AJK PM was briefed on the occasion about the performance of police and reformation within the department and overall law and order situation of Azad Kashmir.

Raja Farooq said AJK was a peaceful region and all-out efforts would be made for maintaining its peaceful environment and the decision of establishing Counter terrorism department was taken in this regard.

The Premier on the occasion directed the high officials to ensure foolproof security arrangement for foreigners and upgrade the communication system on modern lines, he said.

Appreciating the performance of AJK police, the PM said police should increase its potential and modernize the investigation process in better lines. He also directed that behavior of police should be exemplary with the common citizens while providing them timely justice which should be prime objective of the police department.

He said the future of ad-hock police employees would be safeguarded, as they faced problems due to poor policies and strategies of previous governments.
