KARACHI: Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan here on Friday offered fateha and laid floral wreath at the mausoleum of the Father of Nation, Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Later talking to media, he said founder of Pakistan has left behind a strong legacy of religious tolerance and discipline cherished by many and can be emulated by all.

In reply to a question, he said London is open to all people keen to acquire education, visit for tourism or do business.

"All inhabitants of London enjoy absolute religious freedom and there exist no discrimination on basis of caste, color or religion," he said.

The London mayor said relationship between his country and that of Pakistan are cordial and like any other country do hold room for further improvement.

"I also take pride in my Pakistani roots," he said answering to a questioner and referred to certain problems faced by people of London in particular context of residential facilities.

To another query, he said terrorism is a global challenge and London too is trying to handle it on efficient lines.
