PSL3: Karachi gets the final, eliminators in Lahore

The schedule of the upcoming third edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) was released here on Thursday.

As per the schedule, the finals of the T20 league will be held at Karachi’s National Stadium on March 25. Meanwhile, the two eliminators will held at Lahore, on March 20 and 21, respectively.

The news came as a breath of fresh air for the overlooked sports scene in Karachi. Earlier, it was reported that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) was planning to hold at least two matches of the upcoming PSL edition in the metropolis.

Some six franchises, including Lahore Qalandars, Karachi Kings, Peshawar Zalmi, Quetta Gladiators, Islamabad United and the newbie Multan Sultans would participate in the event.

Some 24 matches will be played between February 22 and March 25 at UAE and Pakistan, featuring international cricket stars like JP Duminy, Shane Watson, Mitchell Johnson and Mohammad Amir.
