As Sarfraz XI are preparing for the tour of New Zealand, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is likely to announce the squad in coming three to four days.

The news may not be pleasing for players like Kamran Akmal, as reports suggest that the head coach is not willing to give another chance to already tested players.

Selector may not make many changes to the squad that played against Sri Lanka, but Azhar Ali’s return to the squad is most likely, sources revealed. Azhar could make his ODI return against New Zealand in place of Ahmed Shehzad, source added.

However, the selfie boy, Shehzad, may still get another go in the shortest format of the game thanks to his recent knock in semis during National T20 Cup. With Usman Khan Shinwari out of action due to back injury, Junaid Khan is likely to replace him for the Twenty 20 internationals.

Pakistan will tour New Zealand in January for five One Day Internationals (ODI) and three T20Is.
