ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Wednesday dismissed plea seeking stay order on Capital Development Authority (CDA)'s Referendum 2017 to be held on December 4.

A single judge bench of Justice Aamir Farooq dismissed plea after going through the arguments placed by the litigants in plea moved by Rana Ashfaq Ahmed chairman Union Council I-10 Islamabad and others.

Shoaib Shaheen counsel for the petitioner was of the view that IHC earlier granted restraining orders in a case regarding transferring and posting of CDA employees to the municipal corporation case however till the outcome of said case referendum in CDA should be stayed as it might leave negative impact on the efforts of the employees.

It is pertinent to mention here that the NIRC has issued the schedule of referendum in Capital Development Authority, and polling day would be December 4th, 2017 (Monday). The four trade unions will participate in the CDA CBA Election.

There will be thirty two (32) polling stations in the Islamabad city area. The CDA workers will cast their vote at these stations. Total voters according to voter list will be 12200.
