KOLKATA: Sri Lanka were 263 for eight at lunch on Sunday, stretching their first innings lead against India to 91, on the fourth day of the rain-hit opening Test in Kolkata.

The visitors, who started the day on 165-4 in response to India's 172, slipped to 201-7 before Rangana Herath hit an unbeaten 43. He was batting alongside Suranga Lakmal, on 10 at the interval.

Fast bowler Mohammed Shami accounted for the two overnight batsmen: Niroshan Dickwella, for 35, and skipper Dinesh Chandimal, for 28. Shami and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have three wickets each so far.
