Senate standing committee delegation visits Gurdwara Nankana

The delegation was comprised senators including Ashok Kumar, Prof Sajid Mir, M Hamza, Gianchand and Baz Muhammad Khan. Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) Chairman Muhammad Siddiqul Farooq, Additional Secretary Religious Affairs Ilyas Khattak, Additional Secretary Shrine Tariq Wazir Khan, local leaders and Sikh leaders received them warmly and present bouquet.

Later, members of the delegation saw different parts of the gurdwara and expressed keen interest in skill work there. They appreciated the steps of Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) for the protection and best renovation of the gurdwara.

ETPB Chairman briefed the delegation about steps which taken by the board for the ongoing development works in the gurdwara.

Addressing a ceremony hosted by local Sikh sangat, Senate Standing Committee for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony led by Chairman Senator Maulana Hafiz Hamdullah said that during the tenure of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) and his companions (Khulfa-i-Rashideen) all the non-muslims were allowed to perform their rituals with complete liberty and security. Now, in Pakistan all minorities have their equal rights with other Pakistani people, he added.
