The government on Sunday formally removed the newly appointed Chief Secretary of Sindh, Kamran Lashari, and withdrew the notification. Sources said that the Prime Minister approved the summary in this regard, and the earlier notification was taken back.
Kamran was appointed as Sindh Chief Secretary on September 7, ignoring that an inquiry was underway against him for issuing a plot to a fast food outlet, violating the rules, in Islamabad when he was Chairman of Capital Development Authority (CDA).
It is pertinent to mention here that the Supreme Court had expressed severe dismay and dissatisfaction over Lashari's appointment. The court had also directed action against him as CDA former chairman for allowing illegal constructions within three months, but the government, instead of taking any action against Lashari, appointed him as Sindh Chief Secretary.
However, there was no report of appointing another new Chief Secretary of Sindh till the filing of this report.
