In a statement here he said that he was aware of the inconveniences caused to the people because of ban on pillion riding. However, he added, the restriction was placed for the first 10 days of Muharram in the wake of the intelligence reports regarding likelihood of any act of terror. The Minister also appreciated the performance of the law enforcement agencies for the maintenance of the peaceful condition during the period. He also lauded the cooperation extended by all the parties, ulema and the people.
